NMa Requests Clarification from VECAI

In a letter to VECAI, the branch association of cable operators, the Netherlands Competition Authority (NMa) has requested clarification on a plan by the cable companies to increase their tariffs for cable television in relation to the development costs of new services and the modernisation of the cable network. The reason for the letter was statements by the Director of VECAI in various media that the cable companies were considering increasing their tariffs by means of a covenant.
