ACM imposes fine on TrendX for unfair commercial practices
The Netherlands Authority for Consumers and Markets (ACM) has imposed a fine on TrendX for having misled consumers about its delivery times, and about the online reviews on its websites www.trendx.nl and www.klooo.nl.
On these websites, TrendX did not give clear information about the delivery times of products purchased from them. In addition, TrendX on these websites published self-created positive reviews, while not publishing the majority of negative reviews of customers.
That is why ACM has imposed a fine of 100,000 euros on TrendX. When setting the amount of the fine, ACM took into account the company’s circumstances (financial or otherwise).
Until December 27, 2022, TrendX has the opportunity to file an objection against the fine.
