Dutch online mobile-phone shop Mobily.nl promises to correct problems

On February 9, 2012, enforcement officials of the CA (Netherlands Consumer Authority) sat down with the owner of Mobily.nl, an online shop that primarily sells mobile phones. At this meeting, the CA officials raised a number of problems that consumers had reported to consumer information portal ConsuWijzer, and which had been forwarded to the CA. These problems predominantly concerned failure to deliver products that had already been paid for, and providing incorrect information online.

The shop’s owner promised the CA to correct these problems, and to adjust its website. In the meantime, as instructed by the CA, Mobily on Monday proceeded to disable the ordering section on its webshop, so that visitors could no longer place any new orders.

The CA calls on consumers that have experienced problems with ordering products on Mobily.nl to inform ConsuWijzer of these problems, and whether they have been solved satisfactorily.
