ACM definitively revokes supply licenses of energy company SEPA Green Energy

The Netherlands Authority for Consumers and Markets (ACM) will definitively revoke the supply licenses of bankrupt energy company SEPA Green Energy per 24 December 2021. The receiver of SEPA Green Energy informed ACM that energy company Innova Energie has taken over all of SEPA Green Energy’s customers (consumers and small business customers) as of 22 December 2021. All customers will continue to receive energy, and will automatically be informed by Innova Energie.

On December 9, 2021, ACM already announced that it would revoke SEPA Green Energy’s licenses because it had run into financial problems as a result of the high energy prices.

All of SEPA Green Energy’s customers (approximately 21,000 consumers and small business customers) will thus get new energy contracts from Innova Energie, and will be able to choose whether or not to stay with Innova Energie or to switch suppliers anyway (after a notice period of no more than 30 days).
