ACM to revoke supply licenses of energy supplier Allure Energie on December 1

The Netherlands Authority for Consumers and Markets (ACM) will revoke the supply licenses of energy supplier Allure Energie on December 1, 2021. The receiver of bankrupt energy supplier Allure Energie has informed ACM that Allure Energie’s customers will be taken over by Allround Hollands Energiemaatschappij (HEM Energie). All customers of Allure Energie will continue to receive energy, and will automatically be informed by their new energy supplier HEM Energie.

On November 17, 2021, ACM already announced it would revoke Allure Energie’s supply license, as requested by the supplier, because it was no longer able to supply natural gas and electricity in a secure manner as a result of a legal conflict.

The receiver of Allure Energie and HEM Energie have agreed that the approximately 600 customers will get a new contract from HEM Energie, starting November 29, 2021. Until November 29, 2021, customers of Allure Energie are still bound by a transitional period in which they are temporarily unable to switch suppliers. After that date, customers will be able to decide themselves whether or not they wish to remain customers with HEM Energie or whether they wish to switch to another supplier (after a notice period of up to 30 days).
